Privacy policy

WeUp Clock is a local iPhone utility. We do not operate an app server, require an account, or integrate advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not receive, sell, or upload your camera images, pose data, alarms, recordings, or completion records.

Camera and pose processing

The camera is used only in foreground action creation, rehearsal, and alarm tasks. Apple Vision processes body joints on-device. We do not identify faces or individuals, record camera video, or store live skeleton sequences. Pose detection is not identity verification and does not prevent imitation using a photo or video.

For a custom action, the app processes a photo you take or select through Apple’s photo picker. It stores only a normalized static pose template, its scope, and the name and hint you enter. The source image is released after extraction. Existing alarms may retain their own snapshot of a deleted action.

Optional completion photo

If enabled in Settings, the app temporarily keeps one completion photo and its pose overlay in memory. It is cleared when the result is closed or after 10 minutes. Switching to another app does not immediately discard that result. Nothing is saved to Photos automatically.

Only tapping Save image requests Photos add-only access and writes the result. The app does not browse your library. Saved images include participants, pose lines, target-pose thumbnail, participant count, duration, completion date/time, and WeUp Clock branding. Source EXIF and GPS metadata are not copied. Saved images are managed in Photos; obtain each participant’s permission before saving or sharing.

Microphone and local ringtones

Microphone permission is requested only when you actively record a ringtone. Audio is processed and stored on this iPhone. Unsaved drafts are deleted when you leave recording. Saved recordings can be reused by alarms and are not uploaded by the app.

Alarms, records, and preferences

Alarms, action snapshots, saved recordings, language and feedback preferences, and summary records are stored locally. Records retain at most 30 days or 100 entries. They contain no photos or camera video. You can clear records in Settings and delete items in their libraries. Deleting the app removes its local container; saved Photos images are separate.

iOS may include local app data in device backup or migration according to your Apple settings. Apple manages those system services; WeUp Clock does not provide its own cloud sync or backup server.

Permissions and control

Alarm access schedules system reminders. Camera access supports pose processing. The microphone is optional for recording. Photos add-only access is optional for saving a result. Photo import uses the system picker without full-library access. The app does not request contacts or location. You may change permissions in iOS Settings, which can disable the corresponding feature.

Support, diagnostics, and purchases

Diagnostics are local summaries unless you explicitly export them. If you email support, we receive the email and anything you choose to attach, and use it to answer your request. Please avoid sending sensitive media. App Store purchases, billing, and store analytics are handled by Apple under its policies; the app does not collect payment details or include in-app purchases.

Children and changes

WeUp Clock has no account, public feed, chat, or child-directed advertising. Ask a responsible adult to supervise camera use when needed. If data practices change, this policy will be updated and permission requested when required.
